Mining is a very usefull skill, it helps construction because you mine the clay which you then wet and use on your house, it also helps the smithing skill as you smith the ore. If you work hard while mining and put it too some good work you can earn some very good money!

Rock Golem:
A rock golem will appear and start attacking you! His level depends on your combat level! Be careful, he throws rocks at you!
Steaming Rock:
Watch out when your rock starts steaming, stop mining immediately otherwise you will break your pickaxe!

Fishing is one of the many skills in runescape that help you during combat. Of course, you will have to go through another proccess of cooking the fish after fishing it before you can eat it!
Using the equipment listed below you can fish for different types of fish some fish aren't even tradable!

Fishing Equipment

	Fly Fishing Rod	20	Trout and Salmon	To use a fly fishing rod you require feathers in your bag!

Now that we've got the equipment sorted, lets look at the fishing. Fishing is a great resource to cooking by using the folowing method you can train both cooking and fishing and save yourself while in combat easy: fish, cook fish, use cooked fish to help you in combat!

Free To Play Players

1 - 20 fishing	Start off by fishing shrimps at Draynor by using the fishing net you recieved at turtorial island! When you get to level 7 fishing use a fishing rod and bait to catch sardines. Be carfull though as wizards will attack you if you have low combat! At level 10 fishing use your fishing rod to catch herring!
21 - 30 fishisng	Use this period of time to catch every fish that you can (use the table obove) though, it is reccomended that your fishing level is higher than the required fishing level (e.g: say you want to fish pike and since you need 25 fishing to catch it perhaps fish it at level 27 fishing? It would speed up the fishing process!)
31 - 60 fishing	Go to Barberian Village and fish using a fly fishing rod. You may be here for a while and it is reccomended that you cook or drop your fish after fishing them as it is faster than banking them. Yes, i know this is will be boaring, but once you get the experience it will all be worth it!
61 - 75 fishing	Now that you are at a very high fishing level you must be very wise about where and what you fish, you do not want to spend hours fishing somewhere only to find that you didnt gain that much experience or fish! You can either stay at Barberian Village or try your luck fishing lobsters at N. Karamja (use a lobsterpot/lobstercage to fish lobsters!) Before you run off with 80gp to go t Karamja, you may want to think about using all your feathers by fly fishng at barberian village!

Introduction

Runecrfating is needed if you are planning on making your own runes to train magic! Lets start off by looking at the two types of essence. Look below for information on the two types:

Essence

	Pure Essence	Pure essence is used to make members runes such as a cosmic rune.
	Rune Essence	Rune essence is used to make non members runes such as an air rune or a water rune!

Getting the essence:
Buying it:
You can buy essence, the prices of rune essence range from 30 - 50gp each! Pure essence are slightly more expensive, costing from 90 - 110 each!

Mining it:
You can mine it! Be sure not to be wearing armour as it effects how fast you can run! This can take a while, but it is a more popular approach than simply buying the essence! This feature, is only available once you have completed the rune mysteries quest! If you are going to mine the essence, you will need to know the 6 places where you can get teleported to a mining area from!

Location:	Notes:
	Wizard Sedridor: Please note: the closest bank is in Draynor village which is a fairly far for Rune/Pure essence mining, so i suggest mining somewhere else!
	Wizard Aubury: This is one of the fastest methods to mind rune essence as there is bank right above the magic shop!
	Wizard Cromperty: This is a good place to mine pure essence (members only) as the bank is just south of the market area!
	Wizard Distentor: Please note: level 66 magic is required to enter the magic guild! Although you need 66 magic, this is the fastest way to mine rune/pure essence!
	The gnome Wizard Brimstail: Please note: there are no monsters in this cave, so it is safe! however, the closest bank is the one in the grandtree, so i suggest not using this method!
(moonclan island mine)	please note: the nearest bank is in the moonclan village.

Talismans

Getting The Final Product
- - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - -

When you use your talisman on the ruins (the location is shown on the first map in the table above) you get teleported to the altar (the second picture in the table) You then right click on the alter and select bind.
Congratulations, you have now made your own runes!
Note: When you select bind on the altar all of the essence in your bag will turn to the type of rune that the altar was. For example, if you were at the nature altar, and selected bind.... all of the essence in your bag would turn into nature runes!
(It is different when you bind at the Zmi alar, then all the essence in your bag will turn into any random rune! Zmi altar is members only!)

Abyss
- - - - -

After completing the mini quest: The Mage Of Zamorak, you gain access to a faster method to runecrafting, this is known as 'the abyss'.

Once you have completed the miniquest you can use abyss. Go to the same mage that you did to start the Mage Of Zamorak. He will then teleport you to 'The Abyss' As soon as you get their a skull will appear on your head, this normally indicates that a player has attacked another player in the wildy, however, in the Abyss the skull is their so you loose all of your items when you die! So be careful. Your prayer will also be drained!

The Basics Of Abyss:
Abyss is basicaly a faster way to get to the altars. As it says above, after talking to the mage for the second time, you will be teleported to 'The Abyss'. The Abyss is basically two massive rings! The outside ring is is fulled with monsters! Use the doors on the outside ring to gain access to the second ring! The second ring, has no monsters but is filled with portals. Use these portals to get teleported to the altars.
Note: Once at the atlar there is no way to teleport back to the Abyss from the altar.

Abyss Monsters:
As you are probably all awear of, the outside ring of the Abyss is filled with monsters! Be awear that if you die, you will loose everything so be very careful!

In the outside ring of the Abyss there are Abyssal leeches, Abyssal guardians, and Abyssal walkers!

The ZMI Altar

Note: The ZMI Altar is members only!
The ZMI altar is similar to anyother altar, exept for the fact that at the ZMI altar, when you right click and select bind, the essence in your bag would have turned into a variety of runes! (In other words, when you select bind at the ZMI altar, the essence in your bag is turned into any random rune!)

Tiaras
- - - - -

Tiaras work in the same way as talismans, except your can wear it on your head leaving one extra inventory space to hold more essence!

Making Tiaras:
Items needed to make a tiara - silver bar, tiara mould and access to a furnace!
To make a tiara use the silver bar with a furnace, a menu will appear on your screen like the one below

Select 'Make Tiara' Congratulations! Now you have a plain tiara!
However, a plain Tiara is no good to runecrafting unless you enchant the tiara it will then work as a talisman!

Enchanting Your Tiara:
Take your tiara to an altar and makesure you have the matching talisman to go with the altar! Use your tiara with the altar, and your talisman will dissapear! This indacates that your tiara is now inchanted!

Pouches are used to store either a collection of pure essence, or a collection of rune essence, however, you can not put both rune and pure essence in the same bag! Below are the four types of puches: small, meduim, large and giant!

Combination Runes

Combination runes are one rune combined with another! Making them, is simple! In your inventory, you need a type of rune, with another type of talisman and essence. (Note, it will only work with the right combination of talismans and runes) For example: To make a steam rune, you will need essence in your bag, some water runes (they same amount as how many essence you have in your bag) and a fire talisman! Then, you would go to the same type of altar as the talisman, so in this case... you would go to the fire altar. Use the talisman with the altar!
Congratulations! You now have a combination rune!

COOKING THE FOOD

Bread

Requirments: flour pot, grain, jug...bucket...or bowl to fill with water and access to a windmill

Pick some grain from a field then run it to the windmill.
Go the the top floor of the windmill.
Make flour by pouring the grain down the hole and pulling the leaver.
You will need your flour pot to collect your flour on the bottom floor!
Using either a bucket, jug or bowl fill it up with water at a sink or fountain.
Use the flour with the water and make bread dough
Cook the dough on a stove or fire

Pies

Use the same method as bread but make pastry dough instead of bread dough.
Use the dough with an empty pie dish
Add one of the fillings below:

Redberry pie:

Add one redberry to the pie

Apple Pie:

COOKING GUILD

The cooking guild is the perfect place for gaining experience as you have almost every cooking fasility in the game! It is easy to make pies and wine in the cooking guild as their ingrediants spawn on each floor!

REQUIREMENTS:

32 Cooking, wearing either a Chef's hat or a Cooking cape.

LOCATION:

North-West of Juliet's house and north-west of Varrock west bank.

GROUND FLOOR:

Well done! You've found the cooking guild! This is the ground floor! There is a bank for members located on the right hand side of the cooking guild's ground floor.
On the ground floor you will find the head chef! He has a skillcape of cooking! You get one when you achieve 99 cooking! You could get one to if you work really hard!

Combat Guide

Introduction

Combat is the most commonly used skill in runescape, you use it everywhere and you dont even need any equipment! (Though, equipment such as swords or armour can be used to incese your damage!)

Fighters
- - - - - - -
Although all fighters are strong, brave, and powerfull along your journey through runescape you will encountar some advantages and disadvantages depending on your player. For example range attacks have an advantage over mages, but melee attacks have an advantage rangers.

Basic Combat

With combat, it is very important to know what your level is and what you can do with it! Using combat is both simple, and daring! Just right click on any person (not player!) and select attack. However not every person is open to attacks such as bankers.

During combat you must be awear of your healthbar it looks like this: the red area shows the health that you've lost, while the green part shows how much health is left. If you haven't lost any health your health bar will remain green like this one: You know when you're about to die when your healthbar looks like this: Look up by your mini map and next to the heart picture that will also show your your health, but in numbers!

Attack

Attack is one of the most commonly trained skills in runescape because it gives experience for your combat! Daggers are one of many weapons used to train attack!

Runescape, it was created a while ago, though, it is still around today...it is still being played, still being loved! Heres a guide for begginers to help them master the art of runescape!

Tools and Controls

Lets start off with something simple, like the tools! They are labeled below...so take a good look!

More about the mini map: (look below to see a labeled picture)
If you look closely at the mini map on the top right handside of your screen while playing runescape, you might notice different shapes and colours on the mini map!
If there is a yellow dot, it means that where ever the dot is, there is a person there, not a player or a bot but someone that you may need to talk to to complete a quest...ect!
If you see a green dot, that means that whever you see it on the map your friend is.
If the dot is white it means there is a player standing there.
If you see a small white square...that is you!

Brewing Guide

Introductuion

Brewing allows players to create a variety of beers and beverages that give special stats bonuses!
Note: Brewing gives you cooking experience!

Making Them
- - - - - - - - - - -
There are two breweries were you can make different types of beverages. The first is in the city of Keldagrim , which you can get to by entering a cave northeast of the Fremenik Province. The second brewery is in Port Phasmatys. You will need ectotokens to enter Port Phasmatys if you have not completed the Ghosts Ahoy quest.

Items Needed

2 Buckets of water
2 barley malt (cook some barley on a range)
Gostspeak amulet for Port Phasmatys to buy the Pot of yeast.
The ingredient needed to make your chosen ale (see table below)
An empty pot
25 GP or 5 Ectotokens
8 empty beer glasses

Note: Number 6 depends on brewery!

Take all your ingrediants (this includes the secret ingrediant) to either brewery and talk to either blasidar or Keldagrim or talk to Matarialus of Port Phasmatys (note: To use the one in Port Phasmatys you will need an amulet of ghostpeak)

Grand Exchange Guide

The grand exchange, was created by Jagex to help players sell and buy items at their own ease! The grand exchange is simple to use once you get the hang of it... but is hard to grasp for new players! Hers a guide to help you understand and master the concept of the Grand Exchange!

Getting To Know The Place

Getting Started

When you first go to the grand exchange you will not be able to use the selling/buying system, this is because you must complete the turtorial first! You can start it by talking to either the Grand Exchang Tutor or Brugsen Bursen.

Common Item Prices

When you talk to the people at the grand exchange (the computer, not players!) A window will appear showing common item prices:

Selling / Buying Items

Take the items that you wish you sell in your bag, and enough money for the items that you wish to buy! Right click on the exchanger (The people in blue coats in the middle of the grand exchange) and select 'exchange'

After selecting 'Exchange' the menu on the left will appear, click on 'empty' in the first menu and the one on the right will appear. Choose if you want to buy items or sell items by clicking on one of the images in the box titled empty!
